Report: Milan set to save around €7m from Castillejo’s Valencia move

AC Milan are set to save €7.1 million thanks to Samu Castillejo’s departure which is set to be confirmed very soon, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calcio e Finanza, who specialise in the financial side of the game, the Rossoneri will be happy to recoup some money on the wage bill this summer which can be used to help fund other moves.

The actual details of the fee that Valencia are paying for the Spanish winger are not yet known but his market value at the end of June was €4.3 million and then his wages are currently €2.6 million.

That means that at least €7.1 million are going back into the pocket of Milan ahead of next season.

Given that money does not seem to be in abundance for the Rossoneri, every bit helped and those figures could feasibly be put into a new backup defender to add more depth.
