This evening, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Massimiliano Allegri will be the next Napoli manager, which has an effect on AC Milan.
When it seemed that Allegri could be sacked, reports suggested that he had no interest in negotiating an exit. Nor did he have any interest in stepping down. So, to relieve him of his duties, Milan had to pay a hefty compensation fee.

Considering he agreed a deal worth €5.2 million per season, of which he had another year left, he left with a significant amount. However, that comes with an asterisk.
Because of him potentially heading elsewhere, that cover pay, so to speak, would be lessened.
Allegri agrees to Napoli offer
Allegri has had plenty of suitors in recent months and with Antonio Conte leaving Napoli, the Azzurri became interested quickly. In fact, he was linked with a switch before he even left the Rossoneri.
Now, that switch has been confirmed, with him beating Vincenzo Italiano to the role, as Fabrizio Romano reports on X. The deal has been close in recent days and now the ‘deal is done’ and he will head to Naples.
Certainly a quick turnaround, but the Diavolo will not care. Indeed, they have saved millions, which may now be used to tempt his replacement to San Siro.

I will miss you Max , Good luck in Napoli
Seriously?
Go with him my friend and enjoy the mediocrity
Good riddance, Max!
You won’t be missed.
Saved millions and weakened a rival.
I mean it’s great for us and for the Italy NT, but dear god, what are Napoli thinking?? When does it end with this league?
Serie A teams continue playing musical chairs with old, washed up, football passed them by coaches, but they wonder why Italian football and Italian national team is in such bad shape.
Lol, so true. Well, at least we got rid of the salary and weakened a competitor.
Napoli fits him more with Hollund. He’ll do better there. He won’t have to waste players because most of the players at Napoli fit his style.
Watch Max prove everyone wrong and play some magical football at Napoli.
Some of you guys still have hope for Allegri? He sucks!!
The players at napoli do fit his style, especially if Anguissa stays. I can see Napoli winning the league! 😂
That would be hilarious.
If we get pochettino thats just allegri 2.0
lol. certainly everyone will be trying to prove everyone else wrong.
Agree
Couldn’t care less where he ends up and what he achieves. We will remember him longer for what happened in the last 3months than the 24games without defeat.
Me too, that was as shambolic and pathetic end to a season as it gets.
No matter what was happening in the backroom he should have taken the team to the CL . If De Laurentiis wants him that’s fine , we will remember being outplayed by every team we played and being camped in our own have for 60 minutes of every game.
That right max poor strategy…
Good news.
We can write napoli off the Scudetto race for next season.
It’s not even June and we are already out of the top 4 discussion. The last thing that happened was back in the Banter Era.
My heart goes out to all the Napoli fans that are going to have to watch the ugliest, most boring style of football on earth.
We missed out on top 4 but honestly it was worth it to not have to watch another season of that nonsense. I’m excited to watch Milan games again.
I was against Spalletti coming to Naploi, because of how he treated Totti. He won a scudetto. I was all for Carlo A coming, he left mid season. I am against Allegri. Milan are laughing at us. But with the talent, barring injuries, Max could win one. Inter are stilll the team to beat in Serie A. Forza Naploi.
Took us out of the UCL, will still play UCL anyways.
I’d love to see Allegri in UCL with Napoli. LOL!!!
I’m guessing nobody takes Furlani’s contact off our hands so easily. 🤔
Marco Silva Fulham thank you!
All the best Max you spent 170M but we had a dismal season and you have only done well with a rock solid Juventus team with names like Cheillini and Bonucci so good luck. Anyone seen Pep Guardiola?
He still goes to UCL after all, lol. Well played.
What a lovely bunch people are on here.
This as all the hallmarks of being something that comes back to bite Milan.
Great signing
