CM: Milan set meeting with agent to discuss eight players – from Frattesi to Traore

AC Milan are making moves on the mercato and with the start of July approaching fast, they have scheduled a meeting with the agent Beppe Riso. With him, the Rossoneri will mostly discuss their own players.

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan will have a meeting with Riso between the end of this and the beginning of next week. Returning loanees will be the focal point, but there is also another name.

Sandro Tonali: He wants to stay at Milan, as is obvious, and Milan will only consider crazy offers. It’s possible that the parties could discuss a renewal for the midfielder.

Chaka Traore: His contract will expire in 2024 and Milan want to renew him, one of the bargaining chips will be using him with the first team on occasion next season. A loan is also possible, but only in the event of a renewal.

Marco Nasti: His contract will expire in 2026 and he’s set for a new loan spell after doing well at Cosenza this past season, helping them stay up in Serie B. Parma are interested and could be the striker’s next destination.

Daniel Maldini: He only has one year left on his contract and Paolo’s exit doesn’t change things. A renewal will be discussed so that a loan can materialise, with the playmaker still needing more time on the pitch.

Marco Brescianini: The midfielder did well along with Nasti at Cosenza and a two-year extension is likely. Only after that can Milan think about a new loan in Serie B. Even if he might not be Milan material, he’s destined to give them some capital gain.

Lorenzo Colombo: He’s set for another loan spell as Milan will exercise the €3.5m buy-back clause, with Lecce triggering the buy-out at €2.5m. The next step is a club that can fight for European spots in Serie A. After then, hopefully, he will be fully ready for the Rossoneri.

Mattia Caldara: Milan are ready to let him leave for free after Spezia’s relegation, it will free up €3m net on the wage bill as he still has one year left on his contract.

Davide Frattesi: The midfielder is expected to leave Sassuolo this summer for a bigger club and even though Roma, Inter and Juventus are ahead, Milan cannot be ruled out just yet. Sassuolo are asking for €35m and Milan can only make an attempt if counterparts are allowed.
