AC Milan had their eye on two Freiburg players during their Europa League game against Juventus on Thursday night, according to a report.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri sent scouts to the Allianz Stadium to monitor Kiliann Sildillia and Ritsu Doan during their 1-0 defeat against the Bianconeri in which Angel Di Maria got the only goal.
Sildillia is a defender who was born in 2002 and has characteristics similar to Pierre Kalulu as he can play both as a right-back and as a central defender in a three-man defence.
He came through the academy at FC Metz and joined Freiburg in 2020, signing a contract until 2024, and he could be useful for Milan if Stefano Pioli decides to continue the three-man defence next season as well.
Then there is Doan, a left-footed right winger who showed his qualities in the last World Cup with Japan, scoring two goals against Germany and Spain. He was bought last summer by Freiburg for €8.5m from PSV Eindhoven.
Both were observed on Thursday by a Rossoneri scout. Sildillia played the whole match, while Doan came on in the 59th minute.
