GdS: Milan believe in Scudetto hopes – four players must be at their best to cultivate the dream

AC Milan believe in their chances of winning the Scudetto with eight league games left between now and the end of what could be a very memorable campaign.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports how nobody wants to say the word ‘Scudetto’ at Milanello for fear of jinxing it and/or raising the expectations too high, but with 30 games gone and Milan top of the league it simply has to be the target.

The Rossoneri will resume league play at San Siro against Bologna after Napoli and Inter take the field against Atalanta and Juventus respectively, and there is a chance to perhaps further widen the gap over one or both.

For Milan to take care of business though four men must be at top form: Tonali, Leao, Giroud and Ibrahimovic. Milan have bridged the gap with the other big names in Serie A and now lead them all, but the the experience of Giroud and Ibrahimovic should help to avoid lapses in concentration while Leao is perhaps the only one capable of truly breaking matches and Tonali is a certainty in the ‘liquid’ midfield.
