As AC Milan stole top spot in Group H with a 1-0 win over Sparta Praha in the sixth round of matches, they have secured a seed for the first knockout round.
In the end it would be a first half solo goal from Jens Petter Hauge that was the difference as he continued his fantastic recent form, making it three goals in his last four games.
That means that the Rossoneri should in theory get a kinder draw in the Round of 32, but they also net an extra €500k from finishing top as opposed to second, making it a good night all round.
The draw for the Round of 32 will take place on 14 December at 13:00 CET at the UEFA Headquarters, based in Nyon.
Milan’s potential opponents in the Round of 32 are as follows:
Maccabi Tel Aviv
Red Bull Salzburg
Red Star Belgrade
The reason there are not 16 potential opponents is because the Rossoneri cannot draw Lille, as they qualified from the same group.
