AC Milan suffered two defeats inside five days at the same stadium which ensured a miserable season and damaged the upcoming campaign too.
MilanPress speak about ‘fatal Roma’ for Milan, who in a week saw their European dreams slip away. Two defeats – against Bologna and Roma – that quickly erased a positive streak of five wins in six games, with confidence building under the new formation.
The first and the most disappointing one was on Wednesday in the Coppa Italia final against Bologna . A trophy vanished, which would have been the second of the season, and a Europa League did too. In the absence of the Champions League, it could have been something to cling onto.
The second came on Sunday night against Roma. Same stadium, and almost the same performance. Sergio Conceicao’s side were victims of errors and ill discipline, losing 3-1 and making sure they are mathematically out of Europe.
It is two defeats that symbolise failure across the board for Milan, and that also compromise the next season without Europe to call upon. Now the club will have to rebuild and try to raise their heads as soon as possible. Rome was not built in a day, but in five it took everything from Milan.

The whole season was ruined the moment they started talking with Lopetegui then Fonseca among all available coaches.
The whole Milan project was over the moment Cardinale purchased the club.
