More news continues to emerge about Marcus Rashford being a target for AC Milan, with Sky in both Italy and England confirming talks took place.

Starting with Sky Italia, they state that Milan are ‘serious about Marcus Rashford’. The Manchester United forward is now the No.1 name to reinforce the attack and the directors have had contact with the player’s entourage in which they presented their project.

Milan’s offer is not a dry loan but a loan with an option to buy, thus adding the potential for it to become permanent in the future. Rashford will now take some time to decide between the various offers (including that of Borussia Dortmund), but the Rossoneri are among the teams in the running.

Meanwhile, Sky in the UK are claiming that Rashford’s brother and agent ‘has headed to Italy for exploratory talks with Milan executives’ over a potential half-season loan. At this stage, both sides are working out the economic aspect, including how much salary United cover.

The Englishman did not train with the squad on Wednesday and will instead work individually after missing the 2-2 draw with Liverpool due to illness.

Milan have told Rashford’s camp there would be ‘heavy competition for a starting spot across the forward line’ given the presence of Rafael Leao and others.

As a reminder, The Athletic also stated that Rashford’s agent is in discussions with Milan over a potential move there, so all the major sources are on the same page.

  1. If they’re serious about bringing a strong attacking player then they should go for a better name than rashford
    Osimhen pops to mind.
If they want a winger Bakayoko is the best option.
If they wanna show ballz poach lookman from atalanta

But rashford? Jesus. Don’t they ever learn?

      1. Way 2 use that sarcasm #slowclap. Really nailed that one. Oh boy you showed me…

We got pulisic for 20M on a 5.1M gross salary..but yeah go ahead. Compare the two transfers. You’re totally on roll here.

I’m not even gonna mention they’re completely different types of players and people.

So go ahead. Pat yourself on the back for that supreme use of sarcasm.

        1. Genius, how much do you think Milan will pay of Rashfords wages? Not even half during the loan. And if he signs he won’t earn even half of his current salary. What do you keep mumbling about?

        2. Did you just use sarcasm to belittling their use of sarcasm? So are you patting yourself on the back too? Or is sarcasm only clever when you use it?

    1. you have Tomori, Gabbia, Thiaw, Pavlovic in CB…
LB has Theo and Jimenez proved his worth

RB, DM, 9 are the only problems we have. and maybe upgrade on Okafor after that. gifting Conceicao Pepe would make the team even more dangerous

  2. I’m surprised with our background in Chelsea rejects that we aren’t planning Casadei and Nkunku… pay for the kid right away and do loan+option for the Frenchman to sweeten the deal. from current rumors, no one (PSG, Barca, Man Untd…) is open to buying Nkunku directly…

Even Rashford deal is just opportunistic one, taking advantage Man Untd crisis and Ibra’s contacts. With option to buy, if he bounces back under Sergio (people who say he’s lazy, everyone knows that Conceicao is a drill-sergeant, Marcus knows that as well, so if he’s open to coming here it means he’s serious) would be amazing if not, worst case scenario, he will just go back to Manchester in June.

    Rashford – Nkunku/Morata
    Leao – Reijnders – Fofana – Pulisic
    Theo – Thiaw – Gabbia – ?
    Maignan

Additional positives for Nkunku, Casadei, and Rashford deals is that all can be still registered for UCL. and getting rid of Okafor and RLC would make this market that much better.

    1. i sort of agree with your statement. He’s lazy (or unmotivated) if Conceicao can motivate him, on the right wages, he’s a coup. BUT i am afraid that isnt filled with self motivated ppl at the moment. The days of Ibra, Gatusso, Van bommel etc are gone. I’d like to have a player or two that are self starters, self motivated and leader before having the “lazy type” player. With Ibra for example, people played because he scream and pushed them. I, on the other hand, see a lot of player that need the constant push at the moment. (Leao, Theo, Tomori, RLC), Bring Rashford on top of this and it’s risky.

      1. Maignan, Reijnders, Gabbia and Pulisic are a joke to you my guy?!

All are mentally strong players that never whine or stroll around the pitch like Royal Blunder did during Coppa…

    2. wow King22

      nice one

      Rashford – Morata
      Leao – Reijnders – Fofana – Pulisic
      Theo – Thiaw – Gabbia – ?
      Maignan

if we only had a very strong RB who could cross, someone like Maicon

  3. wings are the most urgent. if we rest Leao and Puli its against ‘easier’ teams. in these games we dont need the best defense but we still need good attack cause we still need minimum one goal. Okafor and Chuk already showed that they cant even handle small teams. we need at least one strong backup winger. Yes Jimenez is doing fine but he wont be able to carry all attacking responsibility against small teams – he’ll need to be free of this burden.

  4. Whoever is pushing for this unnecessary transfer needs to hand over his resignation when it doesn’t work out.
He is basically English Leao. He can’t play as a striker, if he could manutd wouldn’t be buying every striker who has 1 good season in serie A.
I would honestly be more open to taking Antony than Rashford. At least he is a right winger and he might actually be better in a slower serie A than in the EPL.

    1. “Whoever is pushing for this unnecessary transfer needs to hand over his resignation when it doesn’t work out.”
That would probably be Moncada or Ibra both of whom need to leave anyways.
“I would honestly be more open to taking Antony than Rashford.”
No thanks. If I’d want a winger who has less goal contribution than every non-defender player we have or had let’s bring back Saelemakers.

    2. Neither Anthony or Rashford are that good. No way is Rashford a Leao type player. He is reasonable fast, but easy to shut down. English creativity- which means none. I know the English pundits and commentators pump up every little thing he does, but he as been inconsistent for the last three years.
Anthony is flash with no substance.

      1. 1st you say that no way Rashford is Leao type of player and then everything you say about Rashford after that applies to Leao. Just replace English pundits with Italian pundits.
Leao in his best season of his career posted 16g and 15 assists in 22/23. That same season Rashford had 30 goals and 9 assists.
The following 2 seasons bother of them have been ass.

        1. Z, work on your comprehension skills. The only similarity between Leao and Rashford that I said was speed. While Rashford is reasonable fast, he doesn’t scare defenses. Leao has been fairly consistent in production the last three years whereas Rashford has had two crap years. Even with a new manager he didn’t fight for a spot. Having him on 350k wages, even if ACM only covers 175K sucks. I watch a lot of epl and have not been impressed with him for years.

          1. They play the same position and their best trait is their athleticism/speed.
            What is their to comprehend?
He scored 30 goals in 1 season, while Leao has scored 37 total in the last 2.5 seasons but he doesn’t scare defenses?
Rashford speed would petrify defenses too if he played in slow ass serie Ass.
Don’t care about his salary, because I don’t want him since Milan already has a player like him in the same position (Leao) with less goals in his boots.

  5. Ok; please, please, please do not take Rashford. He is not that good. Yes, he has the English press behind him which overrates all English players. Italians- remmember how it was coming home as a fait accompli. He is reasonable fast, but that’s it. No real flair and is limited in the position he can play (LW). Even with a new manage coming in his attitude and work effort did not improve. He didn’t fight for his position, even though there wasn’t much competition. If I was Pulisic and I see them signing Rashforh for more money than Pulisic is getting, I am not signing a new contract. AC Milan need a right back and attacking midfielder more than Rashford. If you get a winger, get a right winger. The problem when Pulisic is on the left is there is no real threat coming from the right side with Emerson and Chuck/Jiminez offering very little. Rashford is an overrated English player whose attitude is questionable.
