It seems that AC Milan are going to land two full-backs this week, as reports state that they have beaten a Premier League club.

In the past few days, the road to Zachary Athekame has lit up massively. Now, a deal could be closed this week, with Milan looking to solidify their defence before the games against Leeds United and Chelsea this weekend.

However, there is more to come, it seems, with the club working on another player they identified as an alternative to Guela Doue.

New options

According to Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, via MilanPress, the Rossoneri are ‘ready to complete’ the signing of Jon Aramburu. The Venezuelan right-back spent the past two years playing for Real Sociedad in the top flight of Spanish football, becoming their number one right-back choice last summer.

At 23 years old, he is ready to take the next step, and it seems that that will be towards the Diavolo, who have beaten Newcastle United to the signing. The Geordies reportedly offered a fee of €10 million, which was rejected by Sociedad, whilst Milan offered the €15m asking price.

Now, a meeting will be held by the club with Aramburu, and a decision is expected in the next few days.

  1. That came out of nowhere. He’s really good. Could be a great signing. Meeting the price of 15 million? I’d be surprised.

  2. Always going for quantity instead of quality. When signing 2 right back when you have Jeminiz? Sign Doue or Dodo for Milan instead of wasting the money on 2 nonsense players. None of them can’t came close to Doue or Dodo. Combine the 2 money together to sign Doue

  3. Yeah, if you’re going to make up a story you have to do a better job than “Milan met the asking price”. I’m not having this one.

  4. So instead of Doue for 30 mil they get Athekame for 10 and Aramburu for 15 (total of 25)?

Feels like a smart deal. Both are young and can still develop more. Armburu already been testet against some of the best left wingers in the world so hes ready. Athekame have time to learn the ropes.

This should also mean Allegri see Jimenez as a left wing forward to substitute with Leao, which I think is a correct assessment, hes not good enough defensively in a 4 man back line.

Also guess this mean Okafor and Chuckwueze will leave? We currently have 6 wingers in Leao/Pulisic/Jimenez/Saelemaekers/Okafor and Chuckwueze. We only need 4 in a season without European football, and it makes more sense to keep Jimenez and Saelemaekers.

We should be able to get 20 mil respectively for Okafor and Chuckwueze

    1. LOL. They should be going all-in with 50M€ offer ASAP!!!! Right? It’s always better to pay overprice than try to get discounts, right? Some people loooooove to b1tch and complain at every chance they get.

      1. I don’t b1tch around buddy, I was only being sarcastic.

Surprisingly, the comments section has been quiet lately.
The reports have been positive lately so the wailers suddenly got quiet.

        1. U didn’t went to read all articles then if u think all is quiet. Seems u are selective of the articles to comment lol

  5. What bout omar el hilali ?? He has the most tackles in laliga last season and had the most successful tackles right under aramburu and he is very young with a price tag of around £15 million and doesnt seem like any other club is fighting for him right now. Also better than DOUE. Espanyol wont rip off for him like top laliga clubs and club brugge.
