Luka Romero received a nasty boot to the head in Almeria’s game against Celta Vigo last night and was forced to visit the hospital. Thankfully, Almeria have confirmed that the AC Milan loanee avoided a jaw fracture.
It was a very unlucky incident as Romero first lost his footing before colliding with a teammate, who had his leg stretched to the maximum. As such, the studs hit Romero straight in the face and he had to be stretchered off the pitch and transferred to the hospital.
On their X account, Almeria have now confirmed that Romero is suffering from a lot of swelling, but he managed to avoid a jaw fracture. This is great news for both Milan and the Spanish side, as the 19-year-old was starting to gain some momentum.

It remains to be seen how long the recovery time will be but at least it won’t be a long absence. He scored a brace against Atletico Madrid last weekend and it would have been a shame to stop for a long time now.
