CorSport: From Tameze to Sangaré – the five names on Milan’s list of midfield targets

By Oliver Fisher -

With Renato Sanches having gone to Paris Saint-Germain, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are consulting a list of alternative midfield targets put forward by the scouting department.

Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) has revealed some of the names that Milan are sifting through, starting with FC Midtjylland’s Raphael Onyedika who has been scouted a few times.

Another profile probed by the management is Ibrahima Sissoko, a 24-year-old playing for Strasbourg, while Ibrahim Sangaré (also 24) of PSV Eindhoven was offered to the Rossoneri too.

Among the many players followed by Milan is also Adrien Tameze who has been playing in Italy for several years and is currently at Hellas Verona. He made 38 appearances last season, amassing 4 goals and 2 assists, and he is a more experienced option given he is 28.

Finally, another player in the sights is the 22-year-old Bordeaux midfielder Jean Onana. There are still no open negotiations for him, but in the month of January there were the first contacts with the agents to get information.

  1. Tameze, Sissoko, Sangere, and Onana are not U21, just rule them out of the rumours.

What Milan need is midfielder who can be registered at Serie A like Onyedika or Matar Sarr who are U21 (even if they can’t be registered at UCL squad without excluding other players). Even now there is no room to register Bakayoko at Serie A due to the squad limit.

  2. We have no money so Milan should sit down and stop going disgracing us, they offered 3.5m for chukwuemeka who ended with Chelsea for 20m…….you can not get a good midfeilder and defender with 10m, let stop deceiving ourselves, they should stop disgracing the image of the club by go around the world offerring peanuts begging club to give them player for loan……if we don’t have money then stick to the one you have and pray they magically play like superstars that they are not

    1. Milan can go on and win the treble and this guy will still continue to talk in negative terms just because he doesn’t like what country the owners are coming from.

    2. 10m? Not for long. If they succesfully sign Tomasso Mancini, it will be just 7-8m left.

They prioritize primavera over 5th DM (no longer counting Bakayoko) or 5th CB.

    3. ” Milan should sit down and stop going disgracing us”

YOU should just STFU already. It’s so-called-fans like you that are disgracing the team.

  3. Well as predicted now we are scrambling to find someone. Should have just made Sanches a solid offer at 4.5M/season before PSG came into the picture and changed coaches/director and gave Sanches the time to pause and consider other options…huge wasted opportunity not to sign him for 15M. Now what are we left with? Loan is best possible situation as we have no $$ to buy a DM AND a CB. Jean Onana From Bordeaux is probably our best bet because Bordeaux play in B division and maybe need the $$ so could sell for cheap. Other than that others seem to cost too much and the kid Onyedika is still pretty raw. Hardly what Pioli had in mind for a team wanting to progress further in CL and defend their title. Anyone have the number to Investcorp??? LOL.

    1. Investcorp, the one who want to buy the club with debt piled on the club? 🤣🤣🤣

The fund they raise for takeover was lower than Redbird. How would they raise fund for mercato? Another debt piled on the club? Ridiculous

      1. No the fund that would use their OWN money and not borrow 800M from Elliot and leave Elliot with a 30% ownership stake. Talk about debt. Educate yourself instead of obsessing over homegrown registration requirements you idiot

        1. You don’t understand anything.

The move Investcorp attempted to use to cover for half of the funding is similar to what Glazer did when he bought Man Utd. In this scheme, the club pay large amount of money used for the overtake, hence why the club ended up having much debt.

Meanwhile, the move Redbird use to temporary cover minor portion of the funding is called vendor loan, Milan will not be burdened by it. If Redbird failed to pay the vendor loan, Elliot will get some shares back, Redbird will still have the majority shares.

        1. I wasn’t saying sell him now for 40M€. It was next summer as he would then be on his final year of the contract. Learn the difference, jacka$$

  4. Seko fofana & sangare are good but 20m euro asking price. AC milan can only buy jean onana i think about 10-12m euro
