Milan skipper expected to start against Germany

Italy will face Germany in a friendly game today at the Allianz Arena and Milan skipper Riccardo Montolivo will according to multiple reports take place in Antonio Conte’s starting eleven.

Last time the Azzurri faced Germany was back in 2013 and the game ended in a 1-1 draw, after goals from Milan fullback Ignazio Abate and Dortmund defender Mats Hummels. Today they will face each other once again and both La Gazzetta Dello Sport and Sky Italia reports that Montolivo will start the game on the midfield, in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation.

Here is the expected lineup according to Sky Italia:

Italy (3-4-3): Buffon; Darmian, Bonucci, Acerbi; Florenzi, Motta, Montolivo, De Silvestri; Bernardeschi, Zaza, Insigne.

The game will kick-off at 20:45 CEST.
