Pedulla: Milan present ‘slightly improved’ offer to Romagnoli as Lazio and Juventus lurk

AC Milan have presented an improved offer to captain Alessio Romagnoli but he still remains likely to leave, according to a report.

It has been a strange couple of seasons for Romagnoli as he lost his spot in the starting line-up to Fikayo Tomori when he arrived in January 2021 and then regained it when Simon Kjaer suffered a knee ligament injury but has now lost it again due to Pierre Kalulu’s emergence.

His contract expires at the end of the season and widespread reports are claiming that Milan would only be willing to renew him on reduced terms.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio remain on pole to sign Romagnoli and their interest has been known about since last September, but there is no agreement so far and there will be a meeting in the coming days between his agent and their president Claudio Lotito.

Milan have ‘slightly improved’ their proposal to him, while Juventus are also in the background. With the right offer of over €3m net per season plus bonuses, Lazio will close.
