Athletic: Milan in talks over €20m Spurs defender but Nottingham Forest join the race

AC Milan face competition in their pursuit of Spurs defender Japhet Tanganga as Nottingham Forest are interested in signing him, a report claims.

According to a report from The Athletic, Tanganga seems to be outside of Antonio Conte’s plans having not made an appearance for Spurs this season and there was the interest of AFC Bournemouth that emerged.

However, the idea of a move to Italy seems to be an option for Tanganga as Milan and Spurs still in talks over a possible deal, while Napoli were keen. Forest are the latest club to come forward and the London club have made it clear he is free to leave.

Spurs have been holding out for a fee of around €20m if they are to sell the 23-year-old and Forest are looking at a possible permanent deal, whereas Milan have thus far been chasing a loan with option to buy as per virtually every major source.
