The AC Milan squad must respond after losing four of their last seven, and a positive gesture came on Monday afternoon.

After two consecutive defeats without scoring against Napoli and Udinese, Milan must bounce back and get back to picking up wins to move closer to their big seasonal goal: qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

In a challenging moment like this, the first thing to do is to come together and to remain united, something which Massimiliano Allegri preached at Milanello on Monday.

A show of togetherness

Speaking of which, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report that yesterday was supposed to be a day off for the team, but the head coach Massimiliano Allegri decided to cancel it following the 3-0 defeat against Udinese.

The Livorno-born coach arrived at Milanello to meet with his staff and plan this week’s training. Then came an optional lunch, which the entire group attended, something that is an important display of the aforementioned unity.

Afterwards, before heading out onto the pitch for the training session, Allegri spoke to the team in the dressing room to try to restore some calm. He also went through some video from the previous game, to try help his team learn from their mistakes.

La Gazzetta dello Sport meanwhile are reporting that the manager will revert to the 3-5-2 system against Verona on Sunday, in order to try and bring back the solidity that was clearly lacking on Saturday.
