CorSera: Milan’s squad full of young jewels as overall value hits €500m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a squad that is packed full of young talent and the value of it continues to rise having gone past a milestone, a report claims.

Today’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) talks about the growth of the squad from a sporting point of view, but also from an economic point of view which has meant the overall market value of the squad has rocketed.

They start by talking about Rafael Leao, whose valuation is around €60m, but could grow further and reach €70m if he starts scoring more consistently. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara know that they have a jewel and the renewal of his contract with a tripled salary until 2026 will ensure his long-term future.

Theo Hernandez, Fikayo Tomori and Sandro Tonali are all worth around €50m. Overall the Milan squad – according to an estimate made by the site Transfermarkt – is worth almost €500m.

That is thanks to Pioli, of course, but also to the work done by the management, who put into practice the instructions from Elliott Management to sign young players and develop them. Sven Botman and Renato Sanches should be next.
