Photos: Milan squad receive warm Australia welcome – 65k fans expected at Roma game

AC Milan have officially arrived in Perth, Australia, ahead of their friendly match against AS Roma at Optus Stadium on 31 May.

Images distributed by the club show that the squad have touched down in Western Australia where they will spend a few days before taking to the field in Friday’s game.

Ticket sales are going ‘extremely well’ for the game, and Milan-Roma has already beaten last year’s fixture at the same stadium, which was Tottenham vs. West Ham. It is expected to be a 65,000 sell out.

Below is the squad of players available for the game…

Goalkeepers: Nava, Sportiello, Torriani.
Defenders: Bartesaghi, Calabria, Florenzi, Gabbia, Hernández, Kalulu, Jiménez, Simić, Terracciano, Thiaw, Tomori.
Midfielders: Adli, Loftus-Cheek, Musah, Pobega, Reijnders, Zeroli.
Forwards: Giroud, Jović, Okafor.

Coach: Daniele Bonera.

  1. To be fair i think all the players who will be playing the european championship should have been left home. Players risk unecessary injuries and they will also have to play international friendlies next week as well. The fact that some players could might first come home mid july if they reach the later stages or all the way to the final and might even get called up to the olympics on top of that makes some of the selections bonkers in my view.

    1. Yeah as a French supporter I would be mad if Théo or Giroud gets hurt. Hopefully they won’t play. Roma brought mostly bench players or guys who won’t play in the Euro.

      1. Yeah considering that theo and giroud has pretty much constantly been playing all season theres a risk of injuries. A bit disrespectful to the international teams and players to risk that for nothing. If i was a star player i might actually refuse that call up.
