AC Milan are on the hunt for another centre-forward, and the latest name to gain their interest is Arnaud Kalimuendo.
According to Sky, Milan are still looking for another striker who can join Santiago Gimenez to complete the position. Now, the management are ‘also surprisingly pursuing’ Stade Rennais forward Arnaud Kalimuendo.

The 23-year-old is on Massimiliano Allegri’s list of potential options, but no offer has been made yet by the club. In the season that has just finished, Kalimuendo made 33 league appearances for the Ligue 1 side and scored 17 goals.
The former PSG man is a versatile attacker, capable of playing both as a striker and in support of another player further out wide, making him perfect for the 3-5-2 formation implemented by Allegri at Milan so far.
A change in approach?
As a reminder, Igli Tare said in a press conference to journalists at Casa Milan last month that the club are looking for a striker who has almost the same physical and technical characteristics as Olivier Giroud.
“We are evaluating both in Italy and outside Italy: it is a question of characteristics and for our team’s game it is fundamental. He must be a player with completely different characteristics to those of Gimenez who is not a centre-forward like Giroud: we must be good at completing these two things together,” he said.
Kalimuendo, given his size (175cm) and being known for playing as a second striker too, does not really fit the bill of being a penalty area striker, with 40 goals in 112 games for Rennes. It could suggest a change in the transfer plans.
Someone explain to me how is he better than Colombo? Or even Abraham who was already there with price tag 15mil?
He score more goals in better league then Colombo. Abraham is never was good if player score 10 goals for his club and he is attacker that is disaster. 18goals is minimum for attacker at season,but 25 goals mean he is good. If you not understand that then first learn from history about scoring goals at one season for one club.
Also not same if some score example 7 goals from penalty or more.

Allegri wants a tall physical CF. Vlahovic, Ramos are the two that fit our budget and clubs would sell. Other options is Nunez but Liverpool want big money, Italian CF is scamacca who could be useful but is coming back from lengthy injury. Finally, two others are the adokodare who was Belgian league top scorer or Stuttgart CF Nick Woltemade. Both are 2m tall and fit our budget and profile.
Issue is Moncada tends to go shopping in France due to price but it’s not always wise.
He is a really good player but is not the physical presence we need up front. Vlahovic really is the only one I see we are linked with.
I don’t think people understand what it means to get a player like Giroud. It doesn’t mean they have to be the same hight and if not then move on.
Use some critical thinking. Of course a players height matters. But on the list of priorities for a CF that is similar to Giroud is how well he played when his back was towards the goal. This simple skill set doesn’t involve goals, it doesn’t involve being insanely tall. It requires a player who has a good first touch, can lay the ball off when his back is towards the gaol and is under pressure, be able to keep the ball when under such pressure, the ability to turn with the ball at his feet, be quick off the ground when he has the ball and when he doesn’t have the ball, good with headers, good with forward passes that leads directly to a goal scored.
None of these attributes we can say Giroud was formidable St but hr had them in the right proportions, missing a few but overall did well enough thst he made the attack cohesive. That is a reasonable perspective to have in todays market for a player to play CF because you will find reasonable options.
Unfortunately none of the players mentioned by so many on here o any of these things I mentioned at a level which is respectable enough to call them similar to Giroud.
This player mentioned in the article is similar in playing style, Scamacca is another close option but his injuries and overall attitude plus the fact Atalanta is going to rely on him this season makes him into someone Mikan do not need. This guy Kalimuendo is a decent option but another player who I think isn’t also perfect but has enough there to give him a chance is Georges Mikautadze.
He isnt as tall or as bulky as I would like. But his progression of the ball, his forward passes, his ability to play with back to gaol is good. All of these things are hard to aquire in any target so I would hope he is in the list.
