GdS: Milan talks on stand-by as Lazio come forward with an offer for Romagnoli

By Oliver Fisher -

Alessio Romagnoli could finally say goodbye to AC Milan after what would be seven years of service to the club, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it) report how Lazio have been looking at the Rossoneri defender for some time now and there is a mutual interest in making something happen because Maurizio Sarri likes the player while the Rossoneri captain is a Lazio fan and has been since he was a child.

There have been some positive talks in recent days with his entourage, but first the ideal of a renewal with the Rossoneri cannot be ruled out yet. He currently earns €6m net per season and given the latest dynamics on the pitch, Milan offered €2.5m plus bonuses.

Romagnoli asked for €3.5m and while it is negotiable, for the moment the situation is on standby which is why the player has already begun to look around. Lazio have hinted at a possible offer of around €3m per year and they could accelerate after the farewells of Luiz Felipe and Patric become more concrete.
