AC Milan are still in the Konstantinos Karetsas race for now, but they risk being disappointed as Borussia Dortmund try to advance.
The Karetsas saga has been quite a frustrating one for Milan fans to cover. It is no secret that Ruben Amorim wants a new left-footed attacking midfielder for the position behind the striker on the right, but everything is held up by Rafael Leao’s fate.

It seems that the directors are trying to secure Leao’s sale to Turkey before they move with the funds to sign his replacement. This has left them in a sticky position of not being truly able to counter Dortmund’s aggressive moves to land the Genk star Karetsas.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has published the following update: “Borussia Dortmund are set for direct meeting with Genk today to try advance on Konstantinos Karetsas deal. BVB want to be fast, AC Milan are still involved in the race and trying for Karetsas among targets. Deal on.”
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that Fenerbahce will send delegates to Italy this week with the intention of presenting an offer for Leao. They hope to do so having won their Champions League qualifying round tie, which would be a boost to their chances.

They’ve been aiming to close fast for a week now
Go faster dortmund we don’t need this slow midget
What a horrendous comment.
40 mln for a 18y.o kid from Belgian league 🤡
The stories of De Ketelare and Jashari didn’t teach us anything 🤑
But to call him a midget, seriously?
Grimaldo, Hjulmand, Kang-in Lee, too bad we didn’t get (any of) them, they would all be literally ideal for our 3-4-2-1 formation.
Akliouche from Monaco is better
How much does he cost?
Maybe 50-60
Moncada would have liked him at Milan, that’s for sure.
Midget, really?
