AC Milan are interested in signing Kristjan Asllani from Empoli and they have a plan to beat the competition, according to a report.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) writes today that the Milan management are aiming to try and secure the signing of Asllani immediately. The 20-year-old won promotion to Serie A with Empoli last season and is having a fantastic first campaign in the top flight.
The Rossoneri have been impressed by his performances and they believe he is a top talent for the future. The idea is to buy Asllani and leave him on loan for another year at Empoli (like the Yacine Adli strategy), so as to allow him to play continuously and to grow further before joining up in summer 2023.
Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have already moved to beat competition from Inter, Juventus and Manchester City who also want the young Albanian. Milan have great relations with Empoli having signed Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic in 2019, and the strategy is ready to try and sign a third midfielder.
