CM.it: Milan ready to let striker leave the club after disappointing season

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are ready to sell Divock Origi in the summer transfer window for a capital gain after a very limited contribution all season, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.it, the Belgian striker has been a serious disappointment at Milan this season.

He joined in the summer on a free transfer from Liverpool but he arrived with an injury. It took much longer than expected for him to get back into action.

He is one of the highest-paid players at the club and was expected to challenge Olivier Giroud for his spot in the team but he has only been able to score twice and get one assist all season.

Stefano Pioli is happy for him to leave and given he is 29 years old there are plenty of teams who want to sign him such as West Ham United, Leeds United, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace. There is also a market in Turkey.

  1. ‘and given he is 29 years old’

Correction, Origi is 27 years old.

I agreed it’s time to sell him and used the money to buy one striker that doesn’t suck like Origi.
