Report claims Milan are studying move for €25-30m West Ham star amid relegation fears

By Oliver Fisher -

West Ham United are at risk of being relegated from the Premier League and AC Milan are monitoring one of their forwards, a report claims.

According to SerieBNews, the management are continuing to plan for next season and want to add some fresh faces to a struggling attack, one that might be without Rafael Leao given the Portuguese winger has a deal that expires in the summer of 2024 and he has not yet extended his contract.

A tempting opportunity could come directly from the Premier League and namely in Said Benrahma, a profile that intrigues Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara. Ismael Bennacer could try and persuade his compatriot to play with him at Milan, and the possibility of relegation to the Championship could force the Hammers’ hand.

The valuation of the former Brentford man is around €25-30m but the report states that Milan could insert Alexis Saelemaekers in an offer (if West Ham remained in the Premier League) plus €10m in cash. If they went down, the price of the 27-year-old would drop drastically, opening more possibilities.

  1. I don’t think Saelemakers exchange is a good idea… I know that he is irritating on the field at times, but he is still young and have lots of room for improvement… he’s got some pace, he is good technically, can play in lots of positions and he is a player who plays with a lot of determination!
