Tuttosport: Milan’s summer mission clear – one top reinforcement in each department

By Oliver Fisher -

While waiting to understand how the current season will end with AC Milan still in the hunt for two trophies, the AC Milan management have begun planning for the summer window.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri’s target is quite simple: to made at least one top addition per department to give Stefano Pioli a competitive team not only domestically but also in the Champions League.

To reinforce the attack, Milan are trying to close a deal for Divock Origi whose contract with Liverpool is due to expire. The Belgian has a great deal of experience in the Champions League and should sign a four-year contract for €3.5-4m net plus bonuses per season.

For the centre-back role, Sven Botman of Lille remains the number one target on the list. There have been continuous contacts between the Rossoneri and the entourage of the Dutchman and soon dialogue with the French club will open.

Franck Kessie’s deal will expire and he will go to Barcelona, so Renato Sanches is being eyed to replace him. Milan reached an agreement with Lille in January, but the deal did not go through as there was no agreement with the Portuguese midfielder. The Portuguese midfielder has great international experience already despite being 24, and the Rossoneri hope to close that signing too.
