Tuttosport: Milan focused on summer striker search but one target’s price is rising

AC Milan are committed to signing at least one striker in the summer transfer window rather than January but the price of one of the main targets is rising, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are remaining very keen on signing Lois Openda, but he is a player with a price tag that is only travelling in one direction.

The Lens forward has been in superb form this season which led to Roberto Martinez taking him to the 2022 Qatar World Cup in his Belgium squad. He did not feature heavily though as Belgium were sent home after the group stage.

The 22-year-old has made 15 appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season and has scored seven times, having made the move in the summer from Club Brugge for €9.8 million.

Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara know that they will need to pay much more than that to acquire his services and it will need to wait until the summer.
