Sporting Judge: Milan surpass €100,000 in fines this season after Napoli incident

It is nothing new to see AC Milan getting fined this season and in the game against Napoli, they have again been charged by the Sporting Judge.

This season, if Milan have ended a matchweek without any fines, it has felt like a success. Of course, there have been occasions, but the fact that the Rossoneri had acquired more than €70,000 in fines this season before the latest set says enough in itself.

Within the first 10 rounds of the season, they had already been fined €20,000 and the costs have simply kept rising. Whilst nominal in the grand scheme of things, it must be improved next season, surely.

Another set of fines

As MilanNews relays, the Sporting Judge announced the latest fine to the club today, after the end of Serie A Matchday 31. In the statement, it was confirmed that the Diavolo had been charged an eyewatering €25,000.

This latest instance takes their total this season to well over €100,000, which is lucrative whichever way you look at it.

It is no surprise that the fine is for delaying the start of the second half, but they also delayed the kick-off of the first half on Monday. As a result of this, and the number of repeat offences this season, they have been given this huge fine.

Simply ridiculous.
