AC Milan have formulated an offer to Massimiliano Allegri and confidence is growing that he will accept, according to a report.
As Calciomercato.com report, everything is going according to script. Vincenzo Italiano is about to renew his contract with Bologna at the end of a week of negotiations. Thus, what seemed to be the main option for the Milan bench has faded away.

Igli Tare is working on several fronts and is now accelerating for what had always been his candidate for the Rossoneri bench, since the very first meeting with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gerry Cardinale at the end of February: Massimiliano Allegri.
Milan’s offer to Allegri
In the last few hours, after having explored the possible availability of Thiago Motta, Milan have intensified contacts with Allegri. The aim is to quickly find a verbal agreement on the contractual front and then understand what will happen with Napoli.

The former Juventus coach has spoken to Napoli and seemed inclined to accept a two-year contract worth €6m net per season in the event of Antonio Conte’s farewell, but is now hesitating when faced with the Rossoneri’s proposal.
Confidence is rising at Milan. Allegri is in pole position and is currently the strongest candidate. On the table is a three-year contract worth €3.5m net plus bonuses, while Allegri is asking for €5m plus bonuses, but there is room to negotiate.
The feeling is that Friday could become a do-or-die day. Allegri does not want to wait beyond this week and is on stand-by for a signal from Napoli. Otherwise, he would be ready to enthusiastically accept Milan, to whom he has been sending indirect messages for months.

No no no!CONTE is the guy.Allegri useless.
Allegri is an average coach for an average team. Milan is an average team, but under pressure from journalists, they hire an average coach to say: it’s not our fault, you were looking for Allegri. By November you will all be spitting on it, but it will be too late.
An average coach with 6 serie A titles to his name doesn’t really match up, he would bring discipline, solidity at the back, consistency… after all the goals we’ve conceded over the past two seasons I’d happily have our football be a bit more boring and a bit more pragmatic. Milan needs a safe pair of hands with experience not volatility and risk. I don’t mind him as the choice it makes sense
Get ready for some super boring football and scraping for 4th place.
Dr. Allegri, PhD in Slowball!!
Fortunately, or unfortunately in all sports, Defense wins Championships! and Allegri’s middle name is Defense! but Rossi, you are right its not exciting.
You people always say rubbish
Like AC Milan could do that: “200 milions” 🙂
Conte:
“The 55-year-old is wants Napoli to sign a top player in each area of the team, pushing for as many as nine signings in total. Napoli would also have to increase their wage budget from €80 million (£68m/$91m) to around €110m (£93m/$125m), while they may have to spend over €200m (£169m/$227m) on transfer fees.”
Same people that call Allegri’s football boring, are begging for Conte.
Haha, the irony of it. It’s not like Conte plays beautiful football either.
Yep.
Conte’s Napoli scored 59 goals this season out of 38 games.
Milan was awful this season under 2 different coaches and still scored more goals than Napoli, but Allegri plays boring football, bring Conte and his champagne style of football.
People just yap for the sake of yapping.
There’s a loud crew that just never stops complaining. Same ppl who are talking about how they won’t follow the club anymore. Irony is always lost on them
At the end of the day what counts are those 3 points won.
What’s worrying me, is why we are linked to some totally different ideas and ideology of coaches. If this team, as it stands, would qualify for CL with Allegri at the helm. We will be toasted by his Catenaccio
This team is built to play on the counter.
That won’t work in Europe
You’re probably right. I think this team will benefit from a manager with a strong sense of style. Conceicao saying all he cares about his winning is a good sound bite, but maybe not a good philosophy. Teams and managers have to be flexible, but I do think each manager and team needs its own theory of how to best play their game. I definitely wouldn’t mind us playing more compact and lower without the ball.
Inter is literally in the final, playing beautiful counter attacking football.
Might i remind you buddy, we didn’t make europe… if he can’t actually get us back into top 4 in 1 season, that’s already a huge improvement. The ownership screwed it and we’re starting from scratch now. A coach who can actually organize a defense probably isnt the worst thing. If he implements his past 3 5 2 form like he did with juve, it can actually work cuz were NOT built to play 433.
For some of the young Milan fans please understand that Capello football was more boring than Allegri.
Capello in 1994 won the league with the least goals conceded and the least goals scored in Serie A with Milan. Don’t let the 94 champions league final 4-0 win against Barcelona fool you.
Allegri is nowhere near as boring as Capello. What matters most is winning trophies not attractive football. Smh
I agree. Plus, I think this team naturally plays on the counter as it is. I see no problem with them, employing a lower block and attacking the way they have been more or less.
Where we really fell off is the counter press. Under Pioli I feel like we are much better at getting possession back in the opponents half if we lost it. I also think many people underestimate how much attitude goes into good defensive play.
That was only in the 1993/94 season, because he had problems with injuries. Capel’s football was excellent and don’t compare the two.
91/93 the most
92/93 the most
I saw that game 4-0 CL win against Barcelona, and especially the Savicevic lob against Zubizarreta.
But people seem to forget that football have evolved since the 90’s and it’s much more faster now. Catenaccio worked out then, but not now.
unfortunately, there are not many options at short notice.
De Zerbi is staying in Marseille.
Same with Fabrigas for Como.
and Italiano for Bologna.
The rest are a gamble, of which it is better to keep Conceiceao, if the club cannot land Allegri or Conte.
There is also Motta, but…
Like I said, we should have gotten a SD long before now to attract a coach with a convincing project. Thank you Furlani for your slowness.
Palladino is rumoured to resign at Fiorentina. Could that be he has been tempted by Milan?
Palladino is too much of an unknown factor to risk for Milan, given where they are right now.
Hiring him would be the same as Hiring Thiago Motta at Juventus last season. There’s no guarantee that he can get you to a top 4 finish.
What are we talking about here?
ADL supposedly throws 6mil/season at Max while we haggle at 3.5? Sell one of the useless players and use those funds to pay Allegri the 5mil/season he wants.
For that matter, buy one less player this Mercato and pay conte the money HE wants to rebuild this club and fight for the Scudetto.
Allegri is 1000 better than Motta…
last season Allegri outplayed him, even though he had a much better team. He is much better than Motto 😀😀
No no please no
What do they expect to achieve bringing in a coach that Juventus parted ways with, after poor game play? I can’t imagine it. What are they thinking?
Same coach went to Juventus and achieve 5 Seria A titles after Milan parted with him after poor games.
Motta, please. After his introductory stint with Juventus he’s now ready. Allegri will be sacked by Christmas.
Allegri come to Milan. Finally a proven coach. For those who say Conte he also plays boring football i dont understand what the argument is
Oh noo..
Yes Allegri has experience, but his slowball is super boring.
Whoever will be the next coach, I hope we can compete for Scudetto next season.
Forza Milan !!!
These Directors and Owners of Milan must be joking. How could you, just about a year ago or less agree to get rid of Pioli in search of a modern, possession based style of football, turn around and go, you know what, screw that vision, let’s hire Allegri – the boring, park the bus, look for the 1 goal or the draw style of football? It begs the question of how these football clubs are run, with only short-term thinking, easily swayed by the media, and a lack of long-term visionary goals and objectives.
Who are the clowns hating on this, but begging for conte? You clowns realize they’re the same coach right?😂 Conte would cost a lot more, demand short term signings who would have no resale value, and quit after 14 months. Need i remind you we have no european football next year. If allegri can organize the defense and make something even closely resembling his old juve side in 352, it can get us top 4 which is the realistic goal rn after the Cardinale circus imploded the squad. Pav, gabbia, and an experienced CB signing, buy a real Rb and have Jimenez backup, either keep Theo and buy a real deputy to challenge him or sell him and buy a starting quality LB, not firpo. Fofana, reinders and a real CDM signing in the middle, and put Gimenez and Jovic or a new striker with proven goals up top, I’d prefer jovic as he’s never complained about being a sub and is proven to be effective in a front 2 and scoring in the clutch moments. If we need to sell, it needs to be Leao, Tomori, RLC, Emerson, and Musah. Ali and saelamakers are depth we desperately need in the middle and on the right, especially now. Bondo will hopefully improve on his current 5/10 form, Terra secures homegrown quota and coupd definitely sub in on the right, and whilst it seems absurd given his production, pulisic isnt as important to keep as reijnders. He could still potentially play in the #10 spot, but we no longer have the squad to play a 433, and while he can obviously play in a 343, unless we sign a high quality defensive mid to cover the holes, that lineup will expose us heavily. He’s also holding off on signing extension until he sees the project plan. So it’ll all depend what system allegri plans to run with and who we bring in
Allegri is the best we need Forza Milan
