Romano: Milan in talks over double deal for Lille star and Ajax defender – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Fabrizio Romano has given some updates on two deals that AC Milan are working of in view of the summer transfer window.

According to what the Sky journalist has reported on his podcast (via MilanEye), Milan are ahead in the race for Sven Botman and have an advantage over Newcastle United at the moment, with the Premier League side also keen.

However, it is not yet a done deal with some things still left to tie up, but Romano assured fans that Milan are the favourites to land the 22-year-old Dutchman in what would be a statement investment to safeguard the future of the defence.

Moreover, he added that Milan had talks with Noussair Mazraoui’s entourage and the Ajax full-back is a possibility for the right side, but Barcelona are pursuing him strongly.

The Catalan side are ahead of everyone to sign the Morocco international as things stand currently, so some work has to be done if Maldini and Massara want to win the race.
