Robert Lewandowski’s agent has been in Italy and he has held conversations with AC Milan over a potential move.

It is no secret that Milan are in the market for a new centre-forward who offers more guarantees in terms of goal output compared to the present options. One of the names that has been linked more than most is Lewandowski, whose deal at Barcelona expires at the end of the season.

The appeal is obvious: the Pole has scored over 600 goals in his senior club career, including 344 in 375 games for Bayern Munich as well as 119 in 189 for his current club Barcelona. Simply put, he is one of the best natural No.9s of his generation, but a big decision is coming at age 37.

Lewandowski’s agent talks with Milan

Fabrizio Romano has published an update video on his YouTube channel and he explained where the Lewandowski sweepstakes are at the moment, with MilanNews relaying what the journalist said.

“Pini Zahavi has spent the last two or three days in Milan in great secrecy and had the opportunity to discuss various transfer opportunities and players. Zahavi represents many important players,” he began.

“There have been contacts regarding Lewandowski with Juventus, who currently consider the terms of the deal to be very onerous. Juve currently consider the Lewandowski package to be very high in terms of salary.

“Regarding AC Milan, we’ve told you several times that there’s a sort of internal division over Lewandowski, at least for now. Milan isn’t completely convinced about the deal at the moment. In the meantime, exploratory contacts have been held to understand the costs.

“We’ll update you. Between now and the start of the transfer window, there’s plenty of time to see whether the Lewandowski-Italy discussion will be explored further or not. Let’s just say that the costs have been presented and ideas have been heard in these meetings with Milan and Juventus.

“Meanwhile, Lewandowski has a one-year contract extension offer with Barcelona, but he also certainly has a couple of important offers from the MLS and Saudi Arabia.

“Let’s not underestimate Saudi Arabia – they’re offering a lot of money. It’s difficult for Italian clubs to compete. But they’ve made contact, they’ve committed themselves.”

  1. Its nice to see a winger that lifts his head, surveys the pitch and passes the ball on a platter for one of his teammates instead of looking in the ground and just kick the ball to nobody.
Great play by Kvara and even a better finish by Dembele. Wingers scoring goals.

    1. Hey, who would you say is the star man of PSG? Well it doesn’t matter who… Do you see them all tracking back to defend for the team? Seriously when can we have that? I like that player for what he used to be and, for what I still believe he can be but I don’t think we’ll ever get where we hope to be with him still being the star of this team. The speed of both teams is something we can only dream of. When they pass the ball, they know where their mates will be and don’t necessarily depend on individual brilliance.

      1. The star man of PSG is the same player who runs the most, even though he is a forward, a Ballon Dor winner, UCL winner and a world cup winner. When your best player sets the standards everyone else falls in line and follows.
Milan supposed best player sets the standards and thats why they are where they are. Milan management and most of Milan fans support the standards set by that player, that’s why they are mid. A serie A mvp should never be asked to run or put any effort.

        1. Even after a good performance, the star man was taken off and he didn’t throw a tantrum but when our supposed star man is taken off even after a terrible performance he has the guts to throw tantrums. One more thing I should say is that it doesn’t hurt anyone’s pride to go looking into how other coaches are able to make the 4 at the back work. It’s quite embarrassing just thinking how we’d fare going up against one of these teams. There’s Doue and the Georgian whose name I can’t spell switching from the left to the right and even going through the middle but we have a guy who can only play on the left wing. Oh my beloved Milan, how art thou fallen from on high?

          1. “Even after a good performance, the star man was taken off and he didn’t throw a tantrum but when our supposed star man is taken off even after a terrible performance he has the guts to throw tantrums.”

            This!!!

About the back 4. Enrique, in a UCL semi final, lined up a midfielder Zaire Emery to play as a fullback and the young man was phenomenal in a position that isn’t his, while all season long we are hearing excuses because 1 player is asked to play a little more centrally in the same attacking department.

          2. I agree with that Z. Even if the ol’ AC Milan was of far superior quality then the players was also utilized in various positions that wasn’t necessarily their preferred positions. One thing is that players being better at some positions but players are not dumb they can slot in in various positions or at least they should be able to do so.
Preferably I would prefer a team entirely made up with fairly two footed players all with speed and some strength but that probably wont happen any time soon either. Ideally nevertheless…

    2. So go and support PSG and you too can help the sportswash a genocide, human rights violations and a fossil fuel oligarchy.

      1. Have some self awareness and stop telling Milan fans who to support when they criticize Milan players who are displaying low effort when you gave up on Milan and proclaimed that you are a Como fan.
Write your dumb a$s comment about some bum a$s Milan Primavera players and keep it pushing. Como fan can’t act like a gatekeeper of Milan fandom.
Also, you supposedly were a fan of Milan while Berlusconi was the owner, before you switched to Como of course. Don’t talk about morals. Stick to talking about Darmian, Locatelli, Cutrone, Cristante, De Sciglio, Petagna

        1. Berlusconi, for his many faults, didn’t engage in a genocide.

The fact that you people are so obsessed with money and bling that you’re indifferent to atrocities allows these oligarchs to take over and destroy the game.

As for being a fan, it’s really f’ing simple – constantly looking over your shoulder longingly at some player in some other team and then slagging off the players in the team you allegedly support is not exactly the sign of a loyalty.

And loyalty is essential to being a fan.

Loyalty is what lead me to abandon the team last year. Loyalty to the captain.

You don’t understand this concept. You only understand bling. So I’ve no idea why you bother.

          1. Loyalty is essential to being a fan says the dude who publicly stopped being loyal to the club he says he is a fan of. You can’t make this sh!t up.
Regardless of what I say or how low I rate Milan players, including that bum Leao, I still watch every game time allows me and root for them to win and have never thought of switching for another club, as you publicly did, “loyal” fan!
You constantly lust after ex Milan Primavera players who actually play for Milan rivals. At least a praise someone who is literally considered the best player in the world like Dembele not some low level player like Locatelli, Cristante and the rest of the bums you praise.
Why do you continue to preach loyalty when you stopped being loyal to Milan? Did you stop being loyal to Como too because they got rid off Cutrone?
Speaking of bling, thats what made Milan the top club in the world, the bling. Milan under Berlusconi was exactly what PSG is today. Spend a lot of money, buy the best players in the world, play beautiful football, win UCL titles.
As I said, stick to talking about the bums who came thru Milan Primavera and are now playing small roles to Milan rivals or they start for Milan rivals who are still worse even to this low level version of Milan.

        2. You’re loyal to a brand NOT the players.

          You simply don’t get it.

And because you and others don’t get it Milan will continue to struggle.

There can be no team without loyalty.

When the club abandoned its longest serving player and captain last year most of the fans supported that because they imagined that there was some superior player out there.

Milan have been through 8 x RBs/RWBs in just over a year. It’s the same all over the pitch.

And this is allowed to happen by people like you.

There should’ve been protests when Calabria was forced out, instead people like you celebrated.

          1. “You’re loyal to a brand NOT the players.

            You simply don’t get it.”

No. YOU don’t get it. Players change teams like they change shirts. Players come and go. The club remains.

    1. Yeh I think that’s what the genius said.. Tbh playing like this though we could get Harland and still have an xG of 0.2…

  2. Lewandowski SHOULD guarantee goals.

He SHOULD be a similar signing to Ibra an Giroud who are pretty much two of the only successful strikers Milan have signed in 20 years (yes TWENTY).

But….he could also be a Higuaín, Mandžukić or Morata (three proven strikers who struggled in the precise conditions they found at Milan).

One concern I have about him is that he lacks pace and Milan will need pace if Leao or Pulisic continue to struggle or are sold.

So on balance I’d prefer to go with Osimhen who offers pace and power.

It’s all a roll of a dice. Strikers are the hardest positions to sign for because success and failure is so easily measured.
