AC Milan already have an idea in mind regarding the successors to Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare if they both leave, a report claims.
Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport speaks of relations between Allegri and the Milan management being so bad that they are potentially past the point of repair. If Milan miss out on a Champions League place, then the head coach would almost certainly leave, as well as the sporting director Tare.

It would mark the umpteenth revolution for the Rossoneri, who have been plagued by years of instability. The paper goes on to mention a couple of names that were linked last summer and could come back into fashion, if the sporting side needs to be rebuilt again.
CorSport claim that those higher up at Milan ‘wouldn’t mind – in fact would greatly appreciate’ the duo of Vincenzo Italiano on the bench and Tony D’Amico behind the desk, but they would have to free themselves from Bologna and Atalanta respectively.
Both were also explored last summer and they clearly remain high on the list for RedBird Capital. Italiano has led Bologna in Europe again and they have established themselves as a top eight side, while D’Amico’s forward-thinking profile is admired.
D’Amico has risen rapidly in his career in recent years, from his profitable spell at Verona when the club achieved outstanding results, to his incredible run at Atalanta. He is one of the architects of the Europa League victory for the Nerazzurri, who have always been a symbol of effective player trading.

What a ridiculous idea. There’s no one better than Tare and Allegri. The problem is we need a better sporting CEO. Furlani, Ibra and Moncada needs to go. Problem solved. If Allegri leaves then only Simone Inzaghi is the best option to replace him.
Tare and Inzaghi would do well at Milan.
Based on what? Tare worked at one club, has no experience in big clubs, no titles, no real superstars that he purchased cheap?? Allegri has the titles to show he knows a thing or two.
“no real superstars that he purchased cheap??”
There’s no denying that Immobile and Milinkovic-Savic were pretty amazing purchases for Lazio.
This management only wants yes-men—they don’t want a coach or sporting director who will make demands to build a serious long term team.
Last time anyone had courage to demand serious investment was Maldini and we know how that went…
The problem is, without people willing to push back, signing players becomes short-term action, the squad ends up unbalanced, and there’s no clear direction. In the end, the coach gets blamed without ever having the tools they asked for as they did with Fonseca and Conceição.
THis management need to go!
Can’t Milan sue this useless Cor sports?
Bologna is about to go out after today’s quarter-final match in Europea League. He has not won anything major. How is he even an upgrade for Allegri?
Allegri is not the problem. Sell Leao, replace some management, and start over. BUILD something real instead of trying to piece together a bandaid to get to the UCL.
I agree. Building the foundation for the future is the key, since obviously we can’t splash crazy money like EPL teams or Real Madrid. As of now we don’t seem to have a foundation.
every year we start over?. Let’s not be too dramatic. I’m sure a core of Mike, Gabbia, Bartesaghi, Pavlo (maybe), Saladman (maybe) Rabiot, Pulisic, Luka is a strong base. Add the guys who are talented but havent played much Ricci, Jashari and we got something. Sure Rafa is frustrating, sell him and replace him with some other winger. But to say we need another year 0 is just too dramatic. Note: before you all say “Jashari, Ricci are crap” . Let me remind you all that Tonali had a very very average or below average first season.
We need reinforcements, not total sell and rebuild. This isnt FIFA.
Compare with last season, Milan already have significant growth with Allegri. No reason to sack Allegri
That is solely thanks to Modric & Rabiot though. And partly Bart replacing Theo who was sabotaging the team.
