Milan target says ‘I don’t know anything’ about potential moves away from Atletico Madrid

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan target Alvaro Morata says that he does not know anything about his future at this stage but he does have a year to run on his Atletico Madrid contract.

Speaking during an interview with Italian newspaper Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Spanish striker refused to get too drawn into the regular rumours linking him with a return to the Champions League.

The former Juventus man is said to be a serious target for both Milan and AS Roma this summer but as he was quick to point out, he has another year to run on his Atletico Madrid contract.

“I have a contract that binds me to Atletico Madrid until June 30 2024 and my agent has told me nothing, at least for now,” Morata said.

He did not completely shut down the idea of a move away from Spain in the summer though as he explained how all sorts of things can happen in the transfer market, but at this stage he has no knowledge of what is happening with his future.

“Then you know how things go in football, especially in the world of the market. If in the summer certain favourable situations and certain opportunities for both the buying and selling club were to occur, then what is locked up could unlock. But, I repeat, I don’t know anything about it at the moment,” he said.
