MN: Milan shift focus to signing of 22-year-old Nantes forward for three key reasons

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been forced to change targets in their pursuit of a third striker and now have Randal Kolo Muani in their sights, a report claims.

According to MilanNews, Milan’s chances of signing Kaio Jorge from Santos are moving further and further away as multiple sources both in Italy and in Brazil are reporting that he has agreed a pre-contract with Juventus ahead of the winter transfer window when his current deal expires.

This has left Milan needing to change targets as the management are looking for a young striker who would be the third option and who could learn from both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud, two experienced champions who have won everything between them.

Milan have shifted their attention to 22-year-old Nantes forward Randal Kolo Muani as per the report, and there are three reasons in particular that his profile stands out. He is admired because of his physicality (being 1.87m tall and good in aerial duels), his instinct as a centre-forward and also his ability to play on the right if needed.

Kolo Muani has 40 appearances, 10 goals and 9 assists for Nantes and just returned from the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo where he was with France, but they exited early after a disappointing group stage campaign.
