AC Milan are very close to getting their first three signings of the summer transfer window wrapped up, according to a report.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto (via ScoutismoRN), the negotiation with Lille for Renato Sanches is ‘already set up’ and it is expected that a conclusion will be reached within a month. The Portuguese midfielder has a contract expiring in June 2023 and this means that his valuation ‘does not exceed 25 million euros’.
Another deal is well advanced with Lille and that is the one for Sven Botman. The 22-year-old has already given his approval to the transfer and Milan are ‘ready to signed him for a figure of around 30 million euros’. There is already a verbal agreement, and only the last details must be resolved.
Finally, there is ‘overflowing optimism’ regarding the arrival of striker Divock Origi, who has an expiring contract with Liverpool. He will not renew and he ‘has chosen Milan’ as his next destination, so the signing ‘seems to be only a matter of time’.
And then our market will close, without having signed the RW and natural ST that we so desperately need. Can’t see us also spending another 30m on RW for say Berardi, or 40m on ST for say Scamacca, let alone 70m for both. No way Milan spends 125m this summer.
No Italian club’ Will stupid pay 30m euro for Berardi or 40m euro for scamacca that lacking international experience and unproven in big game. Our striker slot already full : Ibra ,Giroud,origi. Even if Ibra out or retire they Will sign another free transfer striker like belotti,they cannot afford spend 40m euro for scamacca just to sit on bench. For Berardi with 28 years old and sassoulo keep asking 35m euro,no way AC Milan sign him unless sassoulo drop asking price to 15-20m euro

These 3 players will improve Milan; but still our biggest and most glaring and obvious weakness right now is still the RIGHT WING position — need better quality attacker there. Messias and Saelemakers simply aren’t good enough.
I trust Maldini’s opinion in general and specifically even more with assessing talent of a center back like Botman (because that is Maldini’s expertise of course); BUT with the way Kalulu has developed, Tomori and next year Kjaer will be back, we have less of a need at centerback than at RW. Having depth is of course important (as we can see — injuries happen); but right now, we don’t even have a good starter at RW. Our best starter at that position now (Rebic) is a guy Pioli refuses to play there even though he can.
We need 4 starting caliber CB’s…Despite Kalulu’s emergence we need to sign another CB like Botman or Bremer. Love Kajer but we cannot rely on a 33 yr old coming off of ACL surgery. Romagnoli is gone and Gabbia unproven and probably should be loaned out. So Tomori, Kalulu, Kajer and Botman/Bremer would be amazing. Plus I think we may see more 3-5-2 formations to utilize Theo’s attacking strengths…I love Sanches but if it’s between signing him and paying him 5.5M/season (which I doubt we would ever do) I’d prefer to spend that $ on a RW and then sign KAMARA On a free transfer. Striker – Origi/Giroud/Ibra is probably it.
With the signing of Botman we should play a 5-3-2

You don’t mention Rafael leao in that your 352 formation you know we get rafa from lille as a two striking with pepe of arsenal I don’t know why you do not mention him I think you do forget him but I agree with that formation our team will be very strong to win a champions league also
Maybe the plan to sell Rebic in order to finance a RW.
As to Sanches. A great player, but far to injury-prone. Startet 10 out of 29 games this season for Lille. This has been the story of his career so far. At least they should include a clause in his contract that specifices how a good share of his salary is appearance-conditioned.
Sanches barely plays in ligue1 and serie a is a lot harder physical. i’m worried regarding if he comes because he will have one of the biggest pays.

Did you hear what Busquets said about Kessie? he is hardly ever injured. We simply need a player who is fit enough to contribute meaningfully. Eden Hazard is good, but Madrid has not benefitted from his talent.
