MN: Milan vs. Liverpool a sell out at San Siro – Rossoneri set to pocket €5m in ticket revenue

By Oliver Fisher -

Tonight’s game between AC Milan and Liverpool at San Siro is a sell out and that will bring more revenue into the accounts, a report claims.

The 1-0 win against Atletico Madrid on the fifth matchday means that Stefano Pioli’s men still have a chance of reaching the last 16. They must beat Liverpool and hope for a favour from Atletico Madrid against Porto, with a draw or a win for the Spanish side (albeit by an equal or lesser margin than Milan) enough to send Pioli’s side through.

Calcio e Finanza reported that there were just over 35,000 spectators present for the game at San Siro against Atletico Madrid in matchday two of the group stages. In fact, 35,374 spectators were present at the match against the LaLiga champions, for a total of €2,703,300.80 in gate receipts.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, San Siro is ready for hopefully a memorable evening. With the game being a sell out from a ticket point of view the Rossoneri can expect to net around €5m in box office receipts.
