MN: Milan to sacrifice winger in favour of operating margin – talks advanced over €12m sale

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan seem ready to sacrifice winger Jens Petter Hauge in favour of securing some capital gains to complete other market operations, a report claims.

MilanNews reports that the management have made the decision to bet on Rafael Leao once again while they are working on the sale of Hauge. They are in negotiations with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt over the Norwegian, and while the discussion has advanced a deal has not yet been closed.

If Eintracht are to sign the former Bodo/Glimt man, it will take a bid of €12m, an amount which would allow Milan to generate a good capital gain and have an operating margin for new market insertions in the roles that are still uncovered.

Of course, there are still issues to be addressed, such as the replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu, the deputy right-back spot, a fourth central midfielder, and possibly a new right winger too.

    Bad decision. Simply bad decision

  2. Gibbo says:

Milans next big mistake. He’s going to be great in Germany. He should’ve had way more chances to play for Milan. Considering the minutes he got he was probably Milans 2nd most effective attacking player after Ibra.

Maldini his a Byers director who only like to buyer condemned players … He has this odd ideas of 80’s not with a Coach like pioli they will only take us to top 4 and group stage match …

  3. Dades says:

Maldini is a fluke director who think his brilliant in buying waste players like krunic , Mario MKz, Castilojo and more one season players no point, you want a club To grow financially and yet couldn’t not keep prospect player like Hauge jens
Who was milan top scorer in Európa and help in defeating NApoli yet still want to sale the boy, your son who as not shown or contributed to milan champion L qualifications want to kept..

kalulu is sold out ? why a right deputy is needed?

  5. Zymotix says:

Deputy of right back ??? Milan needs to learn from the past. Locatelli and pessina who grows with their new club. Milan really want to sell Hauge because of pioli who really loves leao. Two seasons with the team didn’t showing his quality, just kind a waste of time. I think dry loan for Hauge or sell him with buy back clause is good for milan. I believe pioli no longer with Milan

  6. Sulecoach says:

It seems to me that Pioli does not like Hauge, that’s why he choose leao instead of that promising boy “hauge”

  7. Adrian says:

Hauge was the best in Europa league and was kicked out of the spring team and you are surprise Pioli doesn’t want him anymore ?

  8. Willy says:

Hauge did well on arrival. But he was soon scouted and sorted out by opponents. Hauge fanboys can watch him in the Bundesliga. Leao is the better investment.

  9. C.O.D says:

If you must sell Hauge, put in a buy back Clause at 20 milloin…..
