MN: Milan to sacrifice winger in favour of operating margin – talks advanced over €12m sale

AC Milan seem ready to sacrifice winger Jens Petter Hauge in favour of securing some capital gains to complete other market operations, a report claims.

MilanNews reports that the management have made the decision to bet on Rafael Leao once again while they are working on the sale of Hauge. They are in negotiations with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt over the Norwegian, and while the discussion has advanced a deal has not yet been closed.

If Eintracht are to sign the former Bodo/Glimt man, it will take a bid of €12m, an amount which would allow Milan to generate a good capital gain and have an operating margin for new market insertions in the roles that are still uncovered.

Of course, there are still issues to be addressed, such as the replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu, the deputy right-back spot, a fourth central midfielder, and possibly a new right winger too.
