AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will rely on two players who could be considered his comfort blankets in the upcoming games, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) talks about the true irreplaceables of the Milan team, the first of which is Fikayo Tomori but the second being Sandro Tonali. After a very difficult first season which forced the Rossoneri management to renegotiate the terms of the deal with Brescia, Tonali fought for himself and for his club and has already begun to repay their faith.
A year on and Tonali is one of the team’s technical leaders now; a talented midfielder able to give some composure and quality but also energy and intensity when needed. He is now considered irreplaceable, having leapfrogged the others in the hierarchies.
Tonali has played in every game this season for a total of 1,179 minutes. He is in line for another start against Genoa on Wednesday night as Pioli welcomes back the Italian and also Fikayo Tomori.
