CM: Milan contemplated signing Torino star before opting for experience – the background

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan were left with a decision to make during the summer transfer window when they were eyeing a Torino defender, a report claims.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri took a keen interest in signing Wilfried Singo from Torino during the last summer transfer window and Andrea Pirlo was also an admirer of the 21-year-old while he was out at Juventus, as was Paratici who had noticed his performances several times over the course of the past season.

Milan too had asked for information in recent months, but in they end the decided to opt for a solution that guaranteed more experience and was less of a risk from an economic point of view, which is why they went for Alessandro Florenzi.

Singo meanwhile has 7 goals contributions in 23 league games for the Granata and continues to grow under Ivan Juric at Torino, which is why there is an asking price of €18m already set in view of the upcoming summer which could be destined to rise.

  1. Singo attacks well but he’s an awful defender. Incredibly overrated player. Would be fire in a 352 however as a wingback though.
