CM: Milan reach ‘total agreement’ with Gila over personal terms – the next steps

This morning, it was reported that AC Milan were pushing strongly for Mario Gila and now the next step has been made.

It is no secret that Milan have had a long-standing interest in Gila. Indeed, he was a big target for the previous management and plenty of groundwork was done for his signing. However, the reshuffling made the club fall back.

Indeed, Napoli picked up the pieces – looking to give a gift to Massimiliano Allegri – and it seemed he was heading to Naples. Yet, this morning a curveball was thrown with Gianluca Di Marzio stating that the Rossoneri were back in the mix.

Terms agreed with Gila

Progress has been made since then and quite significantly, with Daniele Longo reporting that an agreement has been reached with the Spaniard on personal terms. So, all that would need to be done now is to reach an agreement over the fee.

Initial suggestions from the journalist are that €25 million ‘without bonuses’ might be enough to land the defender, which would certainly be within their budget.

Whether the sale of Fikayo Tomori would be enough to cover the deal entirely is something worth considering. Regardless of whether it would be enough, though, it seems the Englishman is on his way out…

  1. I’m a big fan of Gabbia, and what Pavlovic does with the ball can’t be understated, but Gila is an upgrade on our entire defence!

  2. Lazio have reached an agreement with Atalanta for
a base price of 22 million plus 3 million in bonuses,
it shouldn’t be more than that for Milan. 25 million
is more than enough, I don’t care about the 50%…

  3. Tiago Gabriel (DRC), Mario Gila (DC)
Tiago Santos (RWB), Matteo Ruggeri (LWB)
    Martin Hjulmand (BOX-TO-BOX MC), – II –
Kerim Alajbegovic (AMRC), Brahim Diaz (AMRC)
Goncalo Ramos (SC), Mauro Icardi (SC)

Maignan- Gabriel, Gila, Pavlovic- Santos, Hjulmand,
    Rabiot, Ruggeri- Alajbegovic, Pulisic- Ramos

Torriani- De Winter, Gabbia, Odogu- Athekame, Fofana, Ardon, Bartesaghi- Diaz, Nkunku- Icardi

Terracciano, A NEW MC, Comotto, Cisse, Camarda

    1. Baby 10 year old Boy. We are not playing EA FC 2026-2027. On every news you come and post some player names, combinations, your fantasies of getting quality substitutes for every player and run off. As if you will sponsor the player buys. How are you so far from reality?

  4. This is how a club that wants to win should operate on the transfer market. It is clear that Tomori , Leao , RLC , Fofana, Estupinan, Gimenez and all the fringe players on loan will be sold to help finance this summer transfer window.

But Milan need to always focus on quality players. Gila is a bargain and Inacio should be around 30m range too. 2 top quality established CBs who will improve our defense.

Thomas Kristensen is another we should by this summer because his value is only 15-20m and he would be a perfect fit to replace Gabbia.

    Our back 3 should be:

    RCB: Gila/De Winter(sub)
    CB: Kristensen/Gabbia(sub)
    LCB: Inacio/Pavlovic (sub)

    1. Pavlovic won’t be a sub, no way, man. Another thing, is it normal and would it be wise to change all three center-backs at the same time?

      1. Agree completely, changing too much at once never works. Plus, Pavlovic has been improving every season. I also hate to see Rafa go but he’s given us no choice. He’s become a cancer as all the young players take their cues on professionalism from him. Pulisic is not the answer to build an offense around, nor is Ramos, so hopefully someone has a plan for this. They’re both good players but we need a top offensive player who’s going to fit this system.

  5. Gila is the best choice. Good age, proven Serie a experience. According to reports Gattuso really like Gimenez, do a straight swap as their value is roughly the same.

  6. I wonder what clowns here will complain about now – I’m sure some here will find something wrong with Cardinale getting Gila.

    1. There’s nothing wrong with Cardinale getting Gila. But there was plenty wrong with the gross negligence and incompetence in the way the club was run last 4 years… And people who complain about that aren’t clowns.

      1. You just proved my point – you’re complaining! And yes, people who complain about everything and find negative in every positive are clowns.

      2. But that’s not what they are complaining about is it?this site complains about literally everything…which is absolutely their choice, but they are complainers. And some of the complaints make no sense…so yes, clowns.

  7. Gila was a good signing.his price is also good.but ramos is not worth 75 million euros.i think that money with a little addition would have brought valovic,Jesus’s and zirkzee

    1. Ramos is better than all of them combined. Vlahovic plays 5 games a season and then spends rest on treatment table. Zirkzee is one season wonder who choked majorly at Man U and Jesus is washed up and injury prone. Tonali was just sold for 100M! Ramos is worth what Milan thought he was worth and paid for him – nothing more nothing less.
