AC Milan are toying with the idea with offering Miralem Pjanic a deal to escape Barcelona once more, according to a report.
Pjanic has spent the current season on loan in Turkey with Besiktas and is unlikely to find a way into the Barcelona squad next season, with Xavi’s rebuild project well underway.
Spanish outlet fijaches.net report that Milan are considering making an offer to sign the 32-year-old, initially on a season-long loan.
Pjanic’s wage presents a difficulty however, with Milan not willing to pick up the reported €16m salary.
But, Stefano Pioli is looking to bolster his midfield with Franck Kessie expected to join Barça as a free agent in summer, and the Bosnian would bring significant Serie A experience.
La Blaugrana parted ways with €70m and Arthur Melo to bring Pjanic to the club in 2020; a deal which looks increasingly worse with each passing season for Barcelona officials.
