AC Milan have approached Liverpool about signing Darwin Nunez and talks are underway between the clubs, a report claims.

On Saturday, Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Nunez is now the number one target for the Rossoneri in their pursuit of a new striker, though the financial parameters of the deal would make things very difficult.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed earlier on Monday that Milan have actually been offered the former Benfica man, though Al-Hilal’s ability to pay the €65-70m demands seemed to put them in pole position.

Milan approach Liverpool

According to Sky Sports in the UK, Milan have ‘made an initial approach to Liverpool for Darwin Nunez’. The Rossoneri are trying to sign him and contact has now been made between the clubs.

Milan are yet to make an offer for the Uruguay international and there are other interested clubs, including Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia, but they are yet to put forward any kind of proposal.

They add: “Sky Sports News reported at the beginning of the window that Nunez was hoping for a move to Spain or Europe ahead of anything further afield.

“According to Sky in Italy, Al-Hilal have also not yet made any bid but they are keeping an eye on Nunez. Sky in Italy also report that Arnaud Kalimuendo, Dusan Vlahovic and Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund are other names on AC Milan’s list of striker targets.”

  1. Rather jus keep Okafor and Gimenez, 65 million + is jus too much for Milan. He is a good striker but too expensive

    1. Hahaha selling the team bus…..what a walk down memory lane there! 😅
It might also be around the time when ADL told us we couldn’t afford a loaf of bread (re: transfer market) .. paraphrasing there

      1. 🤣🤣🤣 Tough times brother but that made the last scudetto we’ve won even sweeter after that long period of suffering😀

  2. Love this player. Except for his finishing, he is a complete forward. His pace is amazing, good technique and good pressing.

A loan with obligation might be possible…

    1. Exactly. Perhaps the only complete striker in world football right now, hence why Liverpool knows they can demand a lot for him despite coming off a bad season

  3. Far better then Vlahovic, he would be super helpful for us. But he need to accept a Huge cut in salary and fight against Liverpool due to better offers from abroad
