TMW: Milan look at two alternative targets with Hojlund’s price now too high

AC Milan feel that they have already been priced out in their pursuit of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund and thus are evaluating alternatives, a report claims.

According to Niccolò Ceccarini’s latest update for TMW, Milan are looking to sign a striker ahead of next season and Hojlund’s valuation is now already out of reach, so the spotlight has turned to a couple of alternative targets.

The first is Noah Okafor of Red Bull Salzburg who scored against Milan in the Champions League group stages and has netted 10 times this season, while the second is Lois Openda from RC Lens who has nine goals in the current campaign.

With Olivier Giroud to hit the age of 37 this year and Zlatan Ibrahimovic heading for retirement, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara know that they must invest in a young centre-forward who can alternate with Origi and learn from Giroud, leading the line in the future.
