TMW: Milan targeting two January signings and a striker next summer – the names

AC Milan have no intention of rushing Francesco Camarda and that is why they are keeping an eye on Santiago Gimenez in view of next summer, a report claims.

In an editorial for TMW, Niccolò Ceccarini spoke about Milan and the moves that the Milan management could make in the coming weeks. He confirmed that in January the club want a deputy to Youssouf Fofana and an alternative to Theo Hernandez.

For the first role, the ideas remain Johnny Cardoso of Real Betis and Morten Frendrup of Geoa. The cost of both would be high but the directors are intent on strengthening the team and giving Fonseca an extra quality player.

However, the work is not only oriented towards the winter session that is currently going on because they are also thinking about next season when there will certainly be changes in the attacking department.

Camarda could be the future but he still needs time and for this reason – in addition to Giacomo Raspadori – the Rossoneri have not lost sight of Santiago Gimenez.

Last year the Mexico international scored 23 goals in 30 league appearances with Feyenoord, and that is why he is ‘an option to always keep in mind’ when it comes to Milan.

  1. Should have got Retegui when we had the chance – I admit I was wrong about him as Gasperini seems to have worked wonders on him. That last strike against “invincible” Napoli… mama mia.

    1. Retegui is performing well in Atalanta, since Gasperini always fit all the players in his system and tactics. Just like he did wit De Ketelaere. I am not sure they would perform well in Milan, Inter or Juventus. Not now.

  2. Jimenez isn’t anything to write home about. But so far neither Morata hasn’t been either. Won’t spend on difference makers. Instead, more of the same …

  3. Journalists can write whatever fanfic they want. Reality is Milan won’t make heavy purchases in the winter. And all those names are gonna cost a heavy sum each.
    Never
    Gonna
    Happen

  4. Acmilan our problem is not a striker our major problem is an attacking midfield and two wingers left and right winger so that Acmilan can score more goals

    1. I don’t agree. Striker has been our problem since the last season. Now we have Morata which is not really no.9. For me, I need a real number 9. At preseason I need Stuttgard’s Guirassy but turn impossible now. I don’t have any idea with Jiminez. Raspberries is not in my choice. Frankfurt’s no. 7 Is my choice. Different and very useful for us.

  5. This problem of a striker just continues endlessly, year after year.
We can’t spot the talents, Like Sesko or Openda before they become expensive and we refuse to pay expensive transfer fees, so something has to change.

Either spend the money required or hire better scouts!

Atalanta lost Scammaca to injury, immediately and quickly replace him with Retegui, job done, no drama, it took them mere days, not years!

  6. If I were in Milan management, I would sell some players like Tomori, Jovic, Calabria, Emerson and Bennacer to bring in some players below:
    1.Chris Rigg(17)-Main Position(CM)
    2.Luca Orellano(24)-Main Position(RW),AM,LW
    3.Abdukodir Khusanov(20)-CB
    4.Dario Osorio(20)-Main Position(RW),LW,LM
    5.Eliesse Ben Seghir(19)-Main Position(LW),ST,RW
    6.Jhon Arias(27)-Main Position(RW),AM,LW
    7.Sverre Nypan(17)-Main Position(CM),ST,AM
    8.Amar Dedic(22)-Main Position(RB),LB,CB
    9.Andrija Maksimovic(17)-Main Position(AM),RW,CM
    10.Gustavo Sa(19)-Main Position(AM),CM
    11.Diego Leon(17)-LB
I know that Milan will not spend a lot of money even if they want the player. But through the sale of some Milan players who are not embraced. I hope it is a little chance to see some of the above players in action for Milan or other quality players they are interested in.

  7. Instead of paying 50, 60 milion for one class striker, 25,26 of age for the next 4,5 years, they bring again a 32 year old past prime striker for 15 mil. and a younger 22,23 for 20 mil., and struggle again for goals. And next season they again look around for new strikers. Never ending story.
