Tuttosport: Milan unconvinced as Ramos offers himself for January move – the details

Sergio Ramos has emerged as another potential option for AC Milan in January. However, they may not make a move for him.

Looking ahead to January, several ideas are on the table, but there has not been any confirmation of any plans. Fans want a few players through the door, and it seems Milan may also feel the same, with three being discussed as the potential number of arrivals.

However, it may be reliant on other operations. For example, a striker joining will see Santiago Gimenez leaving the club.

Not convinced

Reports this morning have suggested that Igli Tare and Giorgio Furlani want to support the group, with the Scudetto being a possibility. However, that means acting smartly, not spending money for the sake of spending money.

One idea, then, that might fit the bill is signing Ramos, who would be found under the definition of typical Massimiliano Allegri defenders.

Experienced with fuel left in the tank, the Spaniard will leave Monterrey in the January window and the Rossoneri have been linked. However, it seems that the club have not taken to the idea just yet. The Spaniard’s name ‘doesn’t seem to be gaining traction’, as Tuttosport writes (via MilanPress).

An experienced defender could arrive, but for now, it seems unlikely that it will be Ramos, or Thiago Silva, for that matter, who turn up at Milanello in January.

  1. Thiago Silva is obviously the better choice. Real professional, no stupid cards, statements, 300 tattoos to manifest how insecure you are and so on. Overall a more stable person and a better leader than a loudmouth Ramos. At least in my opinion.

  2. Absolutely not. He’s looked Absolutely washed in Mexico. Looks like he’s already 45 on the pitch. We did okay woth Modric because he was still playing at the highest level with Real. Ramos has been slumming for 2 years, andnits shown. Go get a real defender for backup. Or better yet, just bring Terra back for little cost

    1. Also, speed isn’t as important in Modric’s position. Ramos will be torched as a backline defender. Well, he can use his dark arts that worked in La Liga where the refs bent over backwards for RM. El Capit-lento.

  3. We have leadership without the baggage in Modric and even Rabiot (when his mom isn’t hogging the limelight). No need for Ramos.
