You’ve got to remember that Gerry Cardinale stated that ‘failure’ would only be not getting a top-four spot this season. In other words, if they sit in fourth or above before the end of the year, it will be seen as a success.
Sacking Allegri after that would be difficult.
Moretto states Allegri would stay
Matteo Moretto has confirmed this much, putting an end to the recent reports that Allegri could be sacked. Indeed, he spoke on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel and the journalist’s words have been relayed by MilanVibes.
“I’d start with this fact: Allegri has a three-year contract with Milan, with two more years to go, at significant rates. If Max reaches the Champions League, he’ll have achieved his seasonal objective. It’s unlikely Milan will part ways with Allegri on their own, whether for financial or performance reasons.
“Allegri will decide, and at the end of the year he’ll make his own assessments and decide which path to take for his future and for the good of Milan after a series of internal meetings that will take place next week.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t be able to walk away from the club himself.

Allegri has 6mil reasons to stay at Milan. Especially if he gets us into CL next season. Not only that but there’s no way THIS Milan sacks a coach and pays him 6mil per year for two years if we win this weekend.
