El Desmarque: Milan keen on Valladolid star with €30m clause but Juventus lead race

AC Milan are one of the teams interested in signing full-back Ivan Fresneda but are currently behind a rival in the race, a report claims.

At the end of the season Milan might have to make a move in the right-back role because even though Davide Calabria is the captain and undisputed starter, some doubts surrounding his deputy are present.

Alessandro Florenzi suffered a serious injury and his conditions will be understood when he returns, while Sergino Dest has arrived on loan from Barcelona and the deal includes a €20m option to buy that seems unlikely to be used at present.

According to a report from El Desmarque (via MilanLive), the Rossoneri are interested in signing Ivan Fresneda, an 18-year-old right-back who plays for Real Valladolid. He has a contract that expires in June 2025 and a €30m release clause.

The Spanish source claim that it is Juventus who have shown greater interest and are therefore ahead of Milan in the running, having also been the first to ask for information on Fresneda. Inter have also set their sights on the teenager, with Roma linked too.

Real Valladolid are quite calm because of the release clause, which will rise to €45m if the player reaches 22 appearances for the first team.
