CM.it: New agent and Premier League shadow – Milan wait for signs from Bennacer

By Oliver Fisher -

The opening of the transfer market is now just a month away but the AC Milan management are working on renewals as well as potential additions.

Calciomercato.it report that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are hoping to get Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer to extend their deals with the club, which expire in the summer of 2024 after they signed five-year contracts upon their respective arrivals from Lille and Empoli in 2019.

Regarding Bennacer, important news has arrived in the last few hours as he has ended his relationship with agent Moussa Sissoko to rely on the agency that belonged to Mino Raiola, something which ‘could open up new scenarios’.

There is no shortage of clubs interested in signing him because Chelsea, Arsenal but also Manchester City and Liverpool have shown interest in the Algerian in recent weeks and months.

It is clear that Milan are aware of the speculation, but they are waiting for official communications to continue negotiating and to be able to find a solution.

Clearly everything will depend on Bennacer, with whom there has been and will be a constant dialogue, and he knows that he can keep growing at Milan while getting his salary tripled to €4m net per year.

  1. He’s going to Arsenal, Milan should lock up a 50/60M deal that would see him leave in the summer. 50M could buy a very good replacement.

  2. You can not replace bennacer. We better keep him. Or we will be in trouble when he laves. Its hard as a midfielder to gel with the team you need at least 1-2 seasons. Why change something that is working.

    1. “You can not replace bennacer.”

Maybe I cannot but Milan can. He’s not a messi and never will be. Good enough but not world-class.
