Sky: Milan ‘waiting for green light’ on Walker transfer after agreement with Man City

Manchester City and AC Milan have reached an agreement over Kyle Walker, and all that is required now is the green light, according to a report this evening.

The Milan-Walker axis has heated up massively in the past week after initial links after the Cagliari game. After initial reports of the Rossoneri’s interest, things have moved quickly, and for the past few days, the deal has been on the verge of completion.

There had also been some suggestions that Walker may end his contract with the Manchester club to seek a free agent deal with the Diavolo, but this was turned down.

Now, it seems that a loan deal is the solution, and a deal should be completed shortly, as Gianluca Di Marzio reports for Sky (via Milan News) that an agreement has been found with his current club. The Englishman, as the report states, will join on a loan with a buy option included.

There are still some elements to resolve from the player’s side with Manchester City, but everything is complete with Milan. A medical is yet to be scheduled though, as there are no indications about when the issues with his current club will be finalised, but the deal is in its final stages, this much is sure and a deal looks all but done.

    1. I’m exited how many players and which players they bring… maybe they are not that useless, it’s true there are few players from Moncada and Furlany who are good ( Raijnders, Pulisic, Fofana, Gimenez…)… Royal and Abraham are the wishes of Fonseca and they are the worse half od the summer incomes….

      1. did you talk with Fonseca? He was the one who loved Saelesmaekers but the managment gave him away because they couldnt find a new striker

      2. There are big possibilities that some departures are going to happen
That’s why they :fix: that, with these kind of arrivals such as Walker

  1. And while they wait for the green light from 34 year old Walker in crowded position, it’s already January 22nd and our midfield is badly depleted, forwards cannot score and Theo our only leftback.

If this is how our new coach is supposed to get us to CL spots, then they should just turn off the lights and call it a day. This is sad and embarrassing to say the least.

  2. letting Kayode go to Brentford for loan with option for 16M is a crime, like Rovella to Lazio for 18M on 2yo loan with obligation…

same gonna happen with Lucca, Ricci, Comuzzo, Gnoto…

how are we missing out on these players?!

Walker is not enough, Calabria has also been bad for the past 2 seasons… 2 attackers and a midfielder are also needed and there is 10 days left…

    1. It’s ridiculous isn’t it? They flat out refuse to buy an Italian player. And you know someone is going to buy Ricci next and it won’t be Milan

      1. Ricci will go to Inter, that’s the reality. We try hard to get Sensi (thankfully he flop), and Frattesi but they choose Inter. and it will repeated by Ricci

  3. Get Rid off Emerson Royal.
The only thing positif for E Royal is he is very royal giving opponents goals from RB..LOL
Milan is very royal too giving charity for hotspurs

  4. Ah, the “waiting game”. We’ll wait until the last day and then realize it’s not happening and we’ll bring in some 18-year-old from Ligue1. And watch Walker go to Inter.
