This season, Christian Pulisic’s conversion to a striker has been marred by his struggles with injuries. However, AC Milan can rely on the American as much as anyone else, if not more.
Since joining the club, no one has been as consistent as Pulisic. His goal record speaks for itself, but taking a step back, his actual performances game to game have not really moved. It is no surprise that he quickly earned the Captain America rep.

However, things have not been as fluent this season. Injuries have caused a few setbacks, and with Rafael Leao and him often missing one another, the Milan attack has rarely had a chance to blossom. Though it could soon do that.
Mr Consistent-ish
Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) writes how Lautaro Martinez currently tops the scoring records, and his current form is increasing the gap, with Pulisic yet to find the back of the net in 2026. Few faults can actually be found, though.
Injuries to his ankle and his hamstring have had an impact on his availability, with his ankle flaring up again most recently. So work is going on to bring him back to his best form, hoping that the ankle issue can settle.
When available, he is one of the most consistent players that the Rossoneri have available. But he has never been the most consistent player throughout his career, due to his physical issues.
Milan need him
Alongside Leao, the Diavolo need their star duo more than ever now. Both have been forced to work with other strikers, yet the club is pleading for a stretch to play PuLeao together. Even now, the duo are still struggling with physical issues.
A turnaround for the pair is a must, and if they can step away from their injury problems for the rest of the season, perhaps the club can dream again. In the meantime, though, they are both forced to work on recovery and show up when they can.

This is so silly. How many shots on target did the front line have against ROMA? Zero, zippo, nada, niente……. Maybe it’s not the players. I will add that when Allegri put his subs in did he try to become more offensive. No. ACM at that point was not trying to win but hold on to the tie as Inter moves further ahead.

Well… More concerning is the fact that Milan created absolutely nothing. No crosses into the box, no passes behind the defense-line. Nothing that could have led to scoring attempts. It’s not JUST the attackers but the whole team – but the attackers aren’t blameless either. Things improved a lot when Füllkrug came crashing in though. That tells you something.
