As has already happened several times this year, AC Milan played a terrible first half in Como, but they overturned it all in the second half.
Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes this morning that the opening 45 minutes was perhaps the worst of the season for Milan, who fell behind quite early and had to rely on the heroics of Mike Maignan between to posts just to stay in the contest.

As has happened several times already, Massimiliano Allegri’s men were then reborn in the second half, first equalising with a penalty from Christopher Nkunku (just before the break) and then completing the turnaround with Adrien Rabiot’s brace.
Substance over performance
With this win, the Rossoneri are keeping pace with Inter in the race for the title, and are now just three points behind them. Yesterday’s victory was Milan’s 19th consecutive game without defeat, and they haven’t lost since the opening match against Cremonese (the Rossoneri’s longest streak since 2005).

His compatriot first won the penalty converted by Nkunku and then scored his first brace for the Rossoneri. After two draws against Genoa and Fiorentina, Milan bounced back and remain firmly in the race for the top spot in Serie A.

Imagine giving Inter or Napoli the chances Como wasted yesterday… It would be a brutal beating for sure.
At least we’ve beaten both of them already this season so drawing them wouldn’t be catastrophic in that sense.
And yet we played both Napoli and Inter and beat both… This team is paradoxical.
The team needed an Allegri type, result driven and consistent coach this year after three seasons of an ever changing and chopping foundation- less football.
Having said that, it’s really rough and somewhat surprising watching the team pinned in our own half for 75% of the match , losing the ball cheapy when we try to establish a small period of ball possession in the opponents half and then scoring 3 goals from 4 shots on target.
Allegri ball has yielded points so far and it’s no coincidence or fluke , but God damn it it’s painful to watch.
